SUMMARY:Construction Institute - 4 Hr. CE Elective Class - Land Use & Construction and Why It Matters to Pay Attention
DESCRIPTION:On November 21st\, the Wilmington-Cape Fear HBA will be offering an In-Person CE Elective course - Land Use & Construction and Why It Matters to Pay Attention. \n\n\n\nThis class will be offered as an In-Person CE Class\n\nThis course is designed to showcase the many similarities between Land Use and construction and why it matters to really pay attention when constructing a new structure. Many contractors start a new build with the tried and true requirements of the North Carolina Building Code. In this course\, we focus on what could be a different approach and study the mechanics of zoning to make sure you get off to a good footing. Upon completion of this course\, students will have a better understanding of Zoning Ordinances and lot-specific dimensional requirements including yard\, setbacks\, and height\, and how they relate to the construction of residential structures. We will also examine two case studies that showcase what we have learned in this course and how it is applied in a real-world scenario.\n\n\n\n*A minimum of 5 students is required for the class to run\, and registration is capped at 20 students.
